Be the Change You Want To See In The World ~ Gandhi

rakso200908091Born in Los Alamitos, CA (yup right next to the race track) and moved to Texas at a young age. Considered a Texan to everyone except those pesky 5th generation natives. My beautiful daughter Jordan Michelle was born May of 2007 and is the light of my life. I enjoy spending my time outdoors (camping, rock climbing, surfing, hiking, fishingpaintball, etc), reading, writing random thoughts, shorts and poems (some you may ocassionally find on here), meeting new people and hearing their stories, finding new tunes, anything food related, all things kung-fu, useless trivia (did you know the little plastic things on the end of shoelaces are called aglets.?), dancing with my little girl, and hanging with friends and family. I find myself not as a typical Dallasite in that my hair isn’t huge and  I’m all about giving stuff away. Frankly, who wants to dust a bunch of stuff? Not me, that’s for sure. I cherish memories and I know down the road my mind will fail, so I’ll have my trillions of pictures to help me remember the past. I dig the whole ‘zero footprint’ life and have 100% embraced the internet to hold all my crap.

For over a decade I have been involved in application development. I love turning visions into realities and get a kick out of people using what I create. I currently work at a software company that focuses on speech analytics and I gotta say, it’s pretty cool technology. As far as “outreach” goes, I have spent almost my whole life doing something for the community (local and far, such as: Locks of Love, Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Salvation Army, Blood Drives, Environmental Action League, Toy Drives for Scottish Rite, Misc 5k Races, etc. I find it truly gratifying yet at the same time, I feel it’s never ever enough. I’d take everyone one in and adopt a million kids if I could afford it.

I enjoy giving people tours, regardless of location…I think I’ll get one of those tourist visors and vests. :)  I am into all things forensic and consider myself a pretty damn good guesser. I am also usually pretty conservative but everyone needs an occasional ‘off’ night. (My so-called “Extreme Moderate” views).

Things I don’t like: Mushrooms, Anything and Everything having to do with Margaritaville, West Cost Chopper shirts (Now available at your local Wal-Mart), I35 (why there is a road that connects Texas to Oklahoma is beyond me), Dillard’s (for reasons I’ll never recover from), Workaholics, and Cracker Barrel.

2009FathersDay77 I’m always working on my ‘To Do’ list so if you see anything fun you’d like to do together, hit me up. um.. oh and I’m A.D.D. (yup from THAT generation) – so if you’re in the car with me..sorry but I love that NEXT button on the stereo. Speaking of music, my favorite’s list was getting too long for this area, so if you’d like to look at it let me know. Pretty much says I love Ella Fitz, Ludacris, and LOA. (I know…I can’t explain it either) Favorite actress is a no brainer – Audrey Hepburn. I wouldn’t say she’s my idol but anyone that knows me would say that. I can pretty much quote tons of movies though. (ex: “Click…. Did you just hang up on me?… No, I just said Click.”) <– Name that movie. If you would like to know more, my bio should be out next June.
